A day will come...but it is important to keep in mind and always remember "what was ours". In fact, sometimes, when defending a particular cause, it is important to re-evaluate what we are defending. Seventy years ago, what "was ours" might have been voting rights, and other contextually important issues. These days, what is "ours" is dignity, respect...not being objectified by the male gaze...femininity...and other contextually important issues. What was ours does not belong to us anymore (to an extent)...what belongs to us is what is in the now...and what is in the future.
